Maldives Yacht Association Elects New Executive Committee at Annual General Meeting

The Maldives Yacht Association (MYA) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking a milestone moment for the nation’s yachting and marine industry. The AGM brought together passionate stakeholders, yacht owners, captains, and marine professionals from across the Maldives to discuss the future of sustainable yachting, maritime development, and industry collaboration.

A Democratic Election of Industry Leaders

During the AGM, members of the association cast their votes to elect the Executive Committee (EXCO) for the new term. The voting process reflected the spirit of transparency, unity, and shared commitment to advancing the Maldivian yachting industry to international standards.

The newly elected Executive Committee members are as follows:

• President: Ahmed Visham

• Vice President: Umar Naseer

• Treasurer: Sofwathulla Shareef

• Secretary General: Nazil Afeef

• Organizational Secretary (Inthizam Secretary): Mohamed Ignaaz Ali

• Advisor to MYA: Mohamed shifaz
